Grove Theatre, Dunstable
In August 2006 we were asked to work with Theatreplan LLP in realising the delivery of the 780-seat auditorium in this new-build development designed by Glenn Howells Architects
The project was being built under a Design and Construct form of contract and time was of the essence. We produced an interior design concept and house lighting scheme for the auditorium, together with design of bespoke light fittings.
Tier fronts, wall treatments and ceiling profiles were designed in close collaboration with the acousticians, Acoustic Dimensions.
From concept to completion
The stalls seats are on wagons and can be removed to create a flat floor arena. We were retained with an ongoing role monitoring the installation on site. The theatre opened in April 2007.
